In this work, I use my own ticket as an object with its own memory of its surroundings, its journey, and its experiences. The accompanying soundscape tells the ticket’s story, revealing my personal experience and the general concept of leaving. To achieve this, I blended many of my own f ield recordings with sounds sourced from the internet and mass media. The work is a reflection on the act of leaving—what it can be like, how others experience it (often more dramatically than I did), and how it feels.
